Digitising the Western Rock Lobster Industry

The western rock lobster (WRL) fishery has been managed via increasingly sophisticated input controls since 1875. WRL has determined that the industry lacks the breadth of information and digital platforms necessary to manage the industry harvest strategy to ensure long-term access and community confidence in the WRL fishery. This investment will develop and extend a fully digitised database to achieve the WRL industry objectives and ultimately expand the database to meet non-management objectives.
