Defining the environmental CLSD
There is growing interest by consumers and brands to understand the sustainability of their clothing's supply chain all the way back to the farm. However meaningful and cost-effective tools for assessing the environmental performance of farms are lacking. This project developed, documented and validated protocols for Environmental Economic Accounting (EEA) at the farm level. The project prepared Environmental Profit and Loss Statements (EP&L) for six wool growing properties in New South Wales. EP&L statements provide a monetary valuation and analysis of environmental impacts including operations and supply chain from cradle-to-gate.
