This project aims to expedite and refine the smartphone app (LIVEXCollect) and training materials that have been developed as part of the animal welfare indicators pilot project. The app will be enhanced and extended across the livestock export industry as a standardised data collection tool. Accurate and current data is required by industry and the broader community to measure performance, inform policy and assist decision making as well as increase operational efficiency and transparency.
