Dairy Up project 1d: Unlocking the potential of kikuyu based pastures - environmental impact

The Australian dairy industry is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). This project will develop whole-farm GHG mitigation strategies as pathways for carbon neutrality in kikuyu-based dairy production systems by using ‘a modelling approach‘ together with automated technologies to monitor individual animals, soils and the environment.

This work will include the use of precision technology, including animal breath analysers, soil chambers and environmental probes to assist shaping management practices that reduce carbon emissions in the Australian dairy industry.
