Building Advisory Capability in Nutrient Management Planning
The Dairy Sustainability Framework has a target of 100% of farms implementing a soil and nutrient management plan by 2030. This project aims to support this target through Dairy Australia's Fert$mart program, that enables farmers to better match nutrient applications to pasture and crop requirements, saving money and minimising nutrient runoff without affecting milk production. The project aims to provide updated resources for existing Fert$mart course providers as well as expand the number of providers able to deliver Fert$mart nutrient management plans for dairy farm businesses.
