Australian Pastures Genebank
The Australian Pastures Genebank (APG) Phase 1 was established in 2013 and operates under the framework of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. Administered by SARDI at the University of Adelaide Waite Campus, the APG stores small quantities of mandated germplasm and related information available for food and agricultural scientific research, plant breeding and genetic resource conservation and education. Several of AWI’s plant breeding research projects source seed from the APG for trial work and development.
