Australian National Vetch Breeding Program
The Australian National Vetch Breeding Program builds on previous work in vetch breeding and aims to deliver improved vetch varieties, with a focus on higher grain and dry matter yield. Improved resistance to ascochyta, botrytis and rust is also required, these attributes are seeing vetch provide a legume option in more marginal areas and an useful alternative in the crop rotation.
