Animal welfare indicators pilot for the live export industry
In recognition of the need for the livestock export industry to move beyond mortality as a measure of performance, this project was established to identify and test animal welfare indicators through the supply chain. The indicators to be considered include resource-, animal- and management-based measures, which have been identified from previous research as both important and practical.
