3D Printing – Rural Industry Opportunities

The project involves a multi-pronged approach to investigating and documenting the potential for 3D printing in agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries. It will analyse their current practices and capabilities, and identify the required capabilities and adoption gaps. These will be mapped to established, as well as emerging, 3D techologies to indetify promising use cases across the value chain, such as tailored equipment, replacement and spare parts of machinery, 3D printing of food, packaging and parts with defined behaviours based on temperature or humidity (4D printing).
