Gondwana Genomics is a bio-technology business located within the Centre for Entrepreneurial Agri-Technology (CEAT) Innovation Hub on the Australian National University campus in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
Gondwana Genomics provides plant DNA testing services using Marker Assisted Selection (MAS) to enhance breeding programs. Initially focused on forestry, Gondwana Genomics have identified a number of specific genomic markers in eucalyptus and acacia tree species which are then used to predict the performance of the trees, thereby significantly reducing the tree breeding cycle.
Gondwana Genomics can provide additional services including DNA extractions and sequencing, pedigree reconstruction, custom marker panel development, custom genus wide marker discovery and bioinformatics
