FarmLab offers an ecosystem of environmental measurement services and software, facilitating the digitisation of on-farm environmental data.
In the agrifood industry, the primary challenge is the scattered and non-digitised state of environmental data, residing in spreadsheets, filing cabinets, or among various consultants and labs. This fragmentation impedes farmers from engaging in environmental markets, making informed sustainable decisions, and implementing precision agriculture techniques for improved yields. FarmLab addresses this by centralising and digitising crucial data, ensuring accessibility for farmers and stakeholders.
FarmLab’s integrated environmental management solution connects testing labs, field samplers, and consultants, streamlining sample collection, testing, and data mapping. This approach offers standardised, accessible data, empowering farmers with critical insights for sustainable decisions and improved agricultural practices.
Operating across Australia and the US, some of FarmLab’s notable projects including working with the University of Queensland and the Australian Federal government to facilitate the sampling of over 500 farms across Australia for soil carbon measurement, collecting over 20,000 samples that will be used to improve the accuracy of soil carbon estimation, and reducing the cost of measurement across the Australian landscape.
