Aquatic AI are an aquaculture technology company building a new fully automated, scalable vertical aquaculture system for producing marron. Marron is a luxury seafood product with a highly lucrative export opportunity. Aquatic AI are taking a first-principles systems approach combining expertise in robotics, data science, microbiology and genetics to develop a radically different approach to aquaculture. Their ambition is to transform marron farming from a low-tech cottage industry to an internationally significant, high-tech global export industry.

The company has been initially funded by the founders and additional non-dilutive funding, including a $400k funding agreement with AgriFutures and $450k in-kind from the University of Western Australia. Their multi-disciplinary team is developing a modular farming system and is now engineering a system focused on scalability.
