X-Hemp: turning hemp into homes - investment opportunity

Opportunity for

  • Professional and sophisticated investors^ interested Australian eco-friendly hemp-based building material production company.

^This opportunity is only for professional and sophisticated investors.

Industry challenge:

The global industrial hemp fibre market grew from $12.4 billion in 2022 to $17.8 billion in 2023. At a CAGR of 37.9% our sector is expected to grow to $56.53 billion by 2027.

By replacing conventional materials with plant-based products, we lock carbon inside buildings and lower energy use. Hempcrete is described as a carbon-neutral material.

  • typical new house will release 48 tons of carbon into the atmosphere through its walls
  • comparably sized hempcrete house results in 5.5 tons of carbon being locked up over the course of the building’s lifespan
  • this equates to a carbon reduction of 53.5 tons per house constructed.

We are poised to take advantage of the inevitable carbon trading scheme that will include crops that rapidly sequester carbon.

Toxic building materials are everywhere. Cement alone generates 2.5 billion tonnes of CO2 per year. Hemp sequesters over 15 tonnes of carbon per ha, requires less water/chemicals than most crops, and hempcrete walls absorb CO2.

We grow, harvest and process cannabis to build beautiful homes with hempcrete, and hold MOUs with US partners to explore producing HempWood® and HempWool®.

Female founded and operated, we are the only hemp fibre processing mill in Tasmania, and one of a very small handful operating in Australia, holding a strong first-mover advantage.

Current opportunity:

X-Hemp is seeking engagement from professional and sophisticated investors^ interested in a sustainable plant based building material company. X-hemp grows crop and works with licensed hemp farmers to convert the grain stubble left from the seed-for-food harvest into building materials. We have built nearly thirty new fire-and-flood resistant homes using hempcrete and are ready to scale. Our hybrid business model sells direct retail and B2B.

We have already partnered with many private homeowners and a leading commercial construction firm to create what will be Australia’s largest hempcrete building.

Interest in hemp construction is so high that customers find us. There is strong demand for new products including hemp flooring, insulation and weed matting. We have a warehouse full of raw materials ready to convert into these items.

The demand is clear for eco-friendly products. With your investment, the next 24 months will see X-Hemp:

  • recruit key management staff to execute strategic plans
  • purchase machinery to convert stored material to sellable product
  • secure a custom built facility with retail, educational & office space.
