Tenacious Ventures: enabling innovative agriculture for global impact - Fund II
- Sophisticated and wholesale investors who are passionate about the future of food and agriculture, and believe in the need for new approaches to innovation
- Innovators and early-stage startups building solutions at the intersection of digitally-native agriculture and climate solutions.
^This opportunity is only for professional and sophisticated investors.
Our food and agriculture system is facing unprecedented pressures due to climate change, and we desperately need commercially viable solutions to transition to a carbon-neutral (or better) and climate-resilient future. At the same time, emerging technologies are breaking established paradigms and constraints tied to the industrial-era and are creating new opportunities all along the value chain. Startups are the key to unlocking the future and transforming our food and agriculture system.
Tenacious Ventures, Australia’s first dedicated agrifood tech venture firm, provides sector-specific, high conviction, high support capital to enable innovators who are building tomorrow’s agrifood system.
With Fund I (oversubscribed at A $35M) almost fully constructed, Tenacious Ventures is raising Fund II, targeting A$70M to invest in pre-seed & seed stage companies primarily in Australia, New Zealand, and North America. Tenacious Ventures is looking for strategically-aligned, sophisticated and wholesale investors interested in opportunities for both returns and impact at the intersection of agriculture, technology, and climate.
Tenacious Ventures is also keen to connect with innovators and early-stage agrifood tech startups. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
- Waste and resource recovery
- Digitized biology
- Democratized infrastructure
- Enhanced natural capital
- Embedded finance and risk
- Sustainable protein
- Lower intensity production.
Disclaimer: Please note AgriFutures Australia has not verified whether Tenacious Ventures holds an Australian financial services licence, and that interested users should conduct their own diligence and obtain independent advice prior to pursuing the specific commercial opportunity.
