Industry challenge:

The program aims to improve environmental sustainability throughout the agriculture and food value chain by accelerating the commercialisation of necessary technology solutions.

Current opportunity:

10 aspiring start-ups will be selected to participate in SparkLabs Cultiv8's 2024CleanTech accelerator. The CleanTech Accelerator will invest in a wide range of technology and hardware thematics, including:

  • Natural capital & biodiversity
  • Health & wellness
  • Energy transition & adoption
  • Animal & crop productivity
  • Climate adaptability & emissions
  • Data & connectivity
  • Automation & robotics
  • Circularity.

Qualifying start-ups will receive a range of benefits, including:

  • Up to $100,000 worth of investment,
  • Access to a world-class network of mentors and industry advisors,
  • Bespoke masterclasses, training, workshops, tours, and events,
  • Co-working office space at The Global AgTech Ecosystem (GATE) among leading scientists; and
  • Introductions to top-tier venture capitalists, angel investors, and entrepreneurial executives.

The accelerator will culminate in a regional showcase event, held in Orange NSW, providing entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business to investors and future customers. The program is supported by major organisations including SparkLabs Group, NSW Department of Primary Industries, Cultiv8 Funds Management, and a number of Australia’s leading agricultural research and development corporations.

The SparkLabs Cultiv8 is an accelerator grounded in success having supported nearly 50 domestic and global companies which have raised over $600 million in private capital and created more than 750 jobs.
