Opportunity for:
- Entrepreneurs, startups/scaleups/SME’s with agtech, biological and non-synthetic solutions that have the potential to transform crop and pasture management.
Opportunity description
Industry challenge:
OpenGround is an innovation program delivered by the Agtech and Logistics Hub (ATLH), run in conjunction with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) that solves industry challenges through connecting the agribusiness sector with startups and scaleups that are developing innovative solutions.
This initiative will bring together leading minds from academia, industry, innovators, agribusiness, researchers and government to collaborate on solutions that can address the challenges facing the agricultural industry.
Current opportunity:
We are currently seeking farmer relevant, innovative agtech, biological and non-synthetic solutions that have the potential to transform crop and pasture management. This includes the measurement and management of plant establishment, pests, nutrition, utilisation by livestock and grazing management and their impacts on soil, water, and the natural capital resources.
Solutions should enable increased productivity, profitability and enhanced sustainability while supporting the industry to grow with the evolving expectations of customers.
Expressions of interest (EOI) are now open for our Plant Health initiative, being run in conjunction with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA). This aims to discover innovations that support the future of sustainable agriculture through plant health.
